Working hand in hand with the Human Resources department of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, ErgoLynx conducted Ergonomic sessions for the entire staff province wide, followed by one on one assessments. This has continued to include any changes or churn in the staff. ErgoLynx also managed the entire installation, as the retrofitting was not standard.
ING Direct
Train the Trainer
ING Direct specified an interest in an Ergonomic Training Package structured around their call center located at 11 Gordon Baker Road. This package encompassed a train the trainer program, lunch and learn sessions, and individual assessments.
- Trained existing LHSC to become Ergonomic Specialists over 6 months
Bell Canada
Ergonomic Training Package
A sub-committee of the Corporate Safety and Health Committee was mandated to develop and provide an ergonomic training package. As part of this sub-committee, Ms. Margeson
- Developed and facilitated package to promote rationale and understanding of ergonomics in the Operator Services department at Bell Canada
- Introduced to 3,000 management and non-management through "Train the Trainer" approach
- Worked as a joint team with union counterparts
Repetitive Strain Injury of Operators Services
The report and analysis relied heavily upon Ms. Margeson's experience with Call Center operations. Her in-depth understanding of ergonomic problems associated with this work environment was key in formulating the recommendations of the study.
- The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada initiated a study of the prevalence of UEMD's (Upper Extremity Musculoskeletal Disorders) and symptoms within the operator services group
- Acted as a liaison between CSHC’s (Corporate Safety and Health Committes) and LSHC’s (Local Safety and Health Committees)
